I climbed Toubkal again last month and can confirm that there is a new mountain hut. The old Nelter hut has been rebuit and is considerably larger than the original. Itr casn now provide bed space for about 120 climbers in different bunk rooms. There is also a cosy lounge and dining area as well as showers and a laundry space. There is also now a second hut immediatley before the Nelter hut but I understand that this one is a little more expensive. Both are huge in comparrison to what was there before and make a great base for trekking and climbing activities in the high atlas range. Th enelter hut is sponsored by the French Alpine Club and is staffed 24/7, so there is always assistance available if required.
