The Strip in Pittsburgh's Historic Market District Dec 15, 2008
This Market should be on any visitors list of things to do when visiting Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The weekend Market is a diverse mix of shops like meat markets, merchandise vendors, street food, cafes & restaurants, wholesalers, shops selling knock-offs, books stores and craft shops. The District runs between 16th St. & 26th St. and Penn Ave. & Smallman St. There is so much to see and do, you can spend the most part of a day shopping or just "window shopping". If you're a Pittsburgh Steeler's Football fan, this place is where you'll get hooked up. There are plenty of competitive vendors willing to sell you T-shirts, hats, Terrible Towels, etc.

I recommend this jewel in the City of Pittsburgh because it's something unexpected and inexpensive. It's a great place to pick up a few souvenirs, get a bite to eat, shop or just people watch.
