I went to Israel in 1997 to study for a year at Tel-Aviv University. During the course of the year, I decided to change my plans and go to the Arava Institute of Environmental Studies. I came back in August 1999 for a graduate program and here are some of the photos

On the way back to Tel Aviv for our flight to Cairo, we went north through the Negev desert. Some areas were very desert like and some areas did have water where they were able to farm. My sister has taken over writing the blog and has added... Our guide took us to the Nabatean city of Avdat.  The Nabatean’s were the ones who built Petra and they were the desert merchants that brought the raw materials that perfumes were made from through the desert.  They were very progressive...
