Nefertiti Restaurant Bangkok Reviews
Delicious food, good shisha, good service! Mar 13, 2012
Located right in the middle of Sukhumvit Soi 3/1 (also known as Soi Arab), it is one of the best places I have found in Bangkok for Egyptian and Middle Eastern food.
My friends and I often come here for lunch when it is less crowded (yes it fills up pretty quickly at night, no matter what day of the week). It has both inside and outside seating, both with air con which is a must when visiting Bangkok in the March-May months. There are so many things to look at - from the giant copper lamps to the beaded coconut tree lights, to the chandeliers. You will also be kept busy by the street sellers who walk freely in and out of the restaurant trying to sell their watches, toys, wallets and sunglasses. There are also a lot of beggars who will bother you...
Food is delicious! I really don't think you can go wrong here, except maybe for the pickled vegetables they bring before your ordered meal - these have sometimes tasted a little sour. I always order the same - baked eggplant and mince topped with a tonne of cheese. They also have shisha (Arabic water pipe) with great flavours available. Shisha here isn't as good as some of the other restaurants in the area, but still good enough to try. Try their coconut and mango shakes - amazing!!
Waiters are friendly, and are very attentive - something other restaurants in BKK lack. There are also lots of other staff, which are quick to help and are also very smiley and friendly
They also deliver, and have a take-away menu with no mark up price.
