Neckar Hotel Heidelberg

Heidelberg isn't an inexpensive place to stay. I chose this hotel for it's price, location, and it wasn't rate badly. I would normally choose to stay in town center but with a car, this is a better choice as they have a bit of parking and it's near the highway.

The hotel is located at the the far end of the Old Town. It's a bit of a walk but, it's quiter.

The hotel could use an update but, that would increase the price so, it's fine for the price. The staff aren't unfriendly but, aren't so interested either. The guy left at the front desk the evening we arrived was from eastern Europe and couldn't help us with any info on the city.

The room was very spacious. The furniture was dated but in decent condition. The bed was passable, not uncomfortable but, not comfy.

The bath was large and nicely appointed. The view from the window was a bit of a riverview.

The breakfast was minimal; cereal, juice, cheese, and meat. Eat breakfast elsewhere.

I would stay here again as it is a good value, here. If lower your standards, it's perfectly fine.
