Naushki unfortunately is not known for much other than being the small border town where the Trans-Mongolian line leaves Russia behind for Mongolia. At least in that it is more well-known than its slightly larger neighbor Kyakhta.
There are a few shops and stores along the tracks where one can spend some last Rubles or if northbound get some supplies for the journey ahead. Beyond that most travelers are passing through for just a brief wisp of time on their journey north or south.
