National Parc De Hoge Veluwe Nov 16, 2008
If you want to enjoy some dutch nature go to Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe. The park has three entrances, at an entrance you can choose to enter by car or park your car and go by foot or take one of the white bicycles for free. It is more expensive to enter with your car and beside the car you pay an entrance fee for every person in the car.

There are two cycling routes through the park, one from 10km which takes you to jachthuis st. Hubertus, but you are not allowed to enter the house on your own you have to take a guided tour. The second route is 26km and goes through the forests and over the open fields, both routes start from the visitor centre but you can also start at other points. There are also several walking routes in the parc.

In the visitor centre you can find information about the park and information about the history and nature of the Hoge Veluwe. From the visitor centre you can enter the Museonder wich gives information about life underground. Near the visitor centre there also is a restaurant where you can eat something or just have a drink. Also close to the visitor centre is the Kröller-Müller museum they have a lot of statues outside and inside they have a large collection paintings from Vincent van Gogh.

Doing crazy; Wildlife in The Netherlands Jul 12, 2008
The first suprise appeared when we're arrived. This park (trying to avoid noisy automobiles) provide you as a visitor free bikes! No, no payment for rent. A nice white bike can be used all over the park. At 18:30u. we were expected to gather nearby the Visitors Centre. From there the group walked to the nearest observation post. Our guide was a funny man, with a little bit of a dedain attitude. But, who cares. Anyhow, after scrolling the horizon for a half a hour the first wildlife shows itself. Red Deers! Nervously all photo's are taken. Click, click. A hell, afterwards we pick out the finest.

Satisfied we took are way back. We haven had some more luck. On the planes we saw one Roe Deer. Unfortunaly, the pics taken aren't that sharp, but that broke down our happy minds. Riding back to Groningen Sabine and I decided to go back some day and stay for longer.
Bikes for free :)
