National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center Baker City Reviews
Awesome Exhibit May 27, 2013
Just 5 miles off the freeway and a mere $5 entrance fee, this Center was surprisingly awesome. It consists of a exhibit documenting a trip on the Oregon Trail from Independence, Missouri to Oregon. We were there 2 hours and only got through half of the exhibit. There was also a great kids area and nice little gift shop. Outside the building, there are nice trails were you can see the wagon ruts and some older structures. We didn't do the trail because it was raining and cold and we weren't prepared.
The National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center is operated by the BLM branch of the park system and they have done a fabulous job. We will definitely stop again and do this place better. We probably need a full half day to get all there is to offer, maybe even a full day.
