National Ethnic Cultural Park Jun 08, 2013
National Ethnic Cultural Park has seen MUCH better days… This park is a complex of buildings that are common in different parts in Laos, beautiful stage for concerts and a little zoo. You will find it if you are going towards the Buddha park, close to the friendship bridge. It has beautiful location on the Mekong river with nice boardwalk and covered with nice shade of the large trees. All paths and most of the buildings/attractions are falling apart. There is one area where some building activity promises some change, but I did not get what they are doing. There is also some kind of juristic park made of concrete, and it looks really interesting. Animals in the small zoo look very neglected and not taken care of, but they do have lots of food.
