National Civil Rights Museum Reviews
Exciting Location Oct 29, 2008
What I find very exciting is that the National Civil Rights Museum is at a location where history was made. The majority of the museum is in the former Lorraine Motel, where Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated. The room in which he stayed that night is decorated as if he had just left. A smaller part of the exhibits is housed across the street, from where the alledged assassin had shot Dr. Martin Luther King. What a great spot to commemmorate Dr. King and to teach the history of civil rights in the United States. When I was there a few years ago, I found that there is a lot of information that needs to be read in order to appreciate the topic fully. That might require some extra time to read. If you are not extremely interested in the topic of civil rights, the text to read might bore the one or the other person.
