Nashville overview

I worked in Nashville for a couple years...but lived in Maine during that time so must confess I didn't get intimate with the area.  So I posed your request to one of my former associates who lives there...and here's his reply:



You know, Nashville has become
quite cosmopolitan and, depending on your interests there is something for
everyone here. For artwork there is the Frist Center, for symphonic music there
is the FABULOUS acoustically perfect new Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and less
than a block from there is the Country Music Hall of Fame, if that is of
interest. Of course there is a plethora of nice restaurants, and one of
our favorites is Mama Mia's, with excellent authentic Italian fare, and
you are invited to bring your favorite wine. Many peolple enjoy visiting
"Music Row," an area where publishers, record companies and
studios abound. Tours are available.

Lots of
folks enjoy the bars, dancehalls and restaurants on 2nd Avenue downtown. If you like sports,
the Nashville Predators NHL team is a fun time, and the Tennessee Titans
NFL team is frequently playing at LP Field. The Lion King is currently being
performed at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC).

For comedy,
there's Zanie's, and for songwriter showcases, I like the Bluebird Cafe in an
upscale area called Green Hills.
