The Hotel Napoleon is in the heart of the best of the City of Lights - practically across the street from the Arc de Triomphe. It's a few feet around the corner from the Champs-Elysees, and close to many of the 5 star hotels of Paris like the Plaza Athenee. The place is beautiful, recently redone, and a perfect oasis. I wouldn't be writing about it except that it delivers everything that the best Parisian hotels do for about half the cost. Maybe eventually it will get the recognition it deserves, but unitl then it's a great bargain for an awesome base, allowing you to walk the entire city - and that you really should! The Napoleon is an art deco-ish hotel with elegant guest rooms and public spaces. Like many places, it's a good idea to reserve a basic room and then, at check in, ask if an inexpensive upgrade is available. You'll save alot for an amazing room. With the dollar so weak, the Hotel Napoleon is a great find particularly for Americans who still want the high end Parisian experience.
