#6 - Napa (city) Aug 09, 2011
Growing up in Napa, many people have said that I would be preferable when writing a review, but I think just the opposite. I grew up in a town that blossomed for the mere fact of beauty and being 21. 21 I was not, and beauty can look the same after you see it multiple times each day. THAT SAID, I love my home city. There is nothing quite like it, the people, the environment, the city itself and most importantly the vineyards. First off, do not go to Napa specifically, go to Yountville, Calistoga, St. Helena, trust me, you wont regret this. These are all small cities, invested in the environment and the culture, get a deli sandwich from Ranch Market in Yountville or Genova's Delicatessen in Napa (THE BEST) and make a road trip. Drive along the highway and enjoy it all, you can search for wineries but don't get caught up in them as there is much more to see. Nightlife does not exist but the days can be fun and you will meet a million people. 1 catch, it is bloody expensive. Pick your moments to splurge and try not to get caught up in the fancy restaurants unless you want to, there are mom and pop type restaurants just as good, if not better. I could keep going but explore on your own.
