Nap park hostel khao san rd Mar 15, 2012
This is a fun hostel, very close to khao san but not directly on it. I stayed in one of the large mixed dorms. They give you a bracelet that opens the door to the room, and lockers are provided ( bring your own lock). The beds are bunk beds ( a bit hard, but thats normal) with a reading light. There is a curtain that separated you from the person next to you. showers are outside the room, with nice hot water.Downstairs is an A/C area, that plays movies.

Such an amazing place, nothing compares!! Nov 09, 2011
I looked up this hostel on hostelworld and it was number 1, thought I would treat my friend and I by booking for a couple of nights before moving to a cheaper place.

The hostel is set on Tani Road in bangkok, 2 streets parallel from Kho San! So it's ideal for partying and also chilling away from the madness, 2 mins walk to the crazyness!

The main reception area is mattress like seating area where people chill and chat at all hours of the day, watch films or use as a base for drinking games at night. There is also computers and fast wifi, free of charge.

I stayed in the 24 bed dorm, although I hardly noticed anyone else as it's really well laid out with partitions between each bed and little curtains, every bed has its own mirror and 2 power points which is so ideal! The beds are comfy and a little larger than your standard single bed. There is lockers to keep your stuff, you can rent a padlock from reception.

The bathrooms and clean and there is decent showers with hot water, they provide towels for you which is also another bonus as when your travelling about a wet towel is a downer....!

The general vibe of the place is awesome, everyone seems to be friendly and always up for a chat, drinking games most nights so If you want a quiet night try stay on the 2nd or 3rd floors away from the main area.

Add Nap Park on facebook for a discount, takes it from about 460 baht to 410...ish.

Be careful not to get too sucked in to the comfort of free wifi and air con in reception and go see some temples, its so easy to just chill all day!! That's the only bad thing ha ha!

Perfect to start off with Sep 04, 2011
I just come to Bangkok for the first time. And this is the first place I stayed. So far so good. I found it useful to print off the directiond to get from the airport to the hostel as it tells you how much it should cost and the directions are in Thai. Once here its all explained, free WiFi and internet connections. plenty of space to hang out on your own or get chatting with other poeple. Just out the door is plently of stores from cloths, bags, food etc and you're not far from KoaSan (sp?) road. Plus all the Wats are in walking distance. Rooms are basic I stayed in a 20 bed room, selectioned in 4 bunks per selection. So as you can guess it can be noisy when people come in drunk later but its not that bad and thats nothing to do with the hostel. You get a locker where you can hire a padlock for deposit. Shoes are left outside but you can also hire a shoe locker too. If anything I would say there's not enough showers, when you're hot and manky you just want to get a shower!

Awesome haven so close to Th Khao San May 07, 2011
Although I am a major fan of Lamphu guesthouse one street down, I decided to opt for the hostel option this time around in Bangkok. Very social place with free internet which is a bonus!

There is air con in the rooms, but it's only turned on from 6pm-12pm, which is a lot of time if you ask me, as most places are even stingier with it.

It's 2 streets up from Khao San, so you get all the action, but not all the noise. It's actually quite strange just how quiet it is at night.

The staff speak pretty good english, and are helpful as they can be.

Would totally recommend staying here if you're ever in Bangkok, and if I return, so will I!

A haven away from Khao San mayhem. Sep 23, 2011
A couple of streets away from Khao San, it's quiet enough to get a good nights sleep, though with dorms of up to 22 i'd still recommend ear plugs! (The inebriated can be less than considerate in the early morning hours...). Not the cheapest considering the size of the dorms, but as soon as I settled in it felt like a home away from home. It was always busy, provided free internet, had fantastic bathrooms and a sociable smoking area right by the front door. Highly recommended!

Clean and well run with trustworthy staff Oct 10, 2011
I stayed here twice when i was in Thailand, it has a very good reputation and very genuine and trustworthy staff which is very hard to find in Thailand. If i go back to Bangkok i will stay here again, its very good for meeting people but everyone is respectful and quiet at night.

Best hostel i have stayed at.

I found this hostel to be great. Really friendly and helpful staff, ask them anything and they will do the best to answer it. Free internet on the computers and you can usually get on when you want. Also free WiFi on the floors. Dorms are large, 20 bed dorms, but separated in sets of 4 with large lockers. Clean stlyish shower rooms. I had no problems with anything.

Authentic Thai Experience Apr 29, 2011
This was my first time to Thailand and I met a girl on the plane that was going here, she told me it was very authentic and cute. So when we arrived I immediately felt like I was in Thailand. The location was amazing and the hostel was awesome! They even had a zen garden!
