Nanzen-ji Kyoto Reviews
Nanzen-ji Temple Mar 31, 2010
Nanzen-ji is a Zen Buddhist temple in Sakyo-ku Kyoto and was established in 1291. There are several buildings attached to the complex along with gardens and hiking trails so definitely take your time and enjoy the area.
This area is very peaceful and especially beautiful during cherry blossom season. The Nanzen-ji is large so take your time to fully enjoy it as it really is lovely.
Nanzen-ji is by the Philosopher’s Walk so it is easy to see three major sites in Kyoto within a 3-4 hours span along this area. This includes The Silver Pavilion, The Philosopher’s Walk and of course Nanzen-ji.
