Had a really good day today seeing all the historic sites on the island with Sallie (a girl I met in the hostel from Ohio). We did it all on the bikes, was alot of fun and interesting - learnt lots about the island. Quite a few of the sights had guides, who were all real characters. Found out that a woman called Maria Mitchell grew up here and went on to become the first female astronomer and subsequently an activist promoting the education of woman.
