Nantes is a nice city located on the river La Loire, some 50 km from the Atlantic Ocean.Founded more then 2000 years ago, it is very important in the History of the region of Brittany, having been the city of the Kings and Ducs of Brittany.
Originally a very important harbour, with its industries and trades, One can still find a lot of reminiscences of these times, and now all the old places re being transformed and accessible to the public.
The old city center is beautiful, nice architecture, lots of places have been recently renovated. Very active city, a huge amount of students, lots of cultural event, and the proximity of the sea make this city one of the most pleasant places to live in France.
