Historic access problems Dec 01, 2010
The Nant Gwrtheyrn Welsh Language and Heritage Centre was formerly a quarrying village in a most inhospitable part of the north coast of the Lleyn Peninsula. The only access was by boat, other than by a steep and tortuous track down the cliff. Not surprisingly the quarry was closed and the houses fell into disrepair.

In 2003 it was opened as the centre that it has now become. My daughter stayed there with a group of conservation volunteers to work on the outdoor area. The track is now a usable road, still highly tortuous and dependent on passing places.

For more information on the activities of the Centre, see http://nantgwrtheyrn.org/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=129
