Dim sum in a authentic Chinese Restaurant Oct 20, 2013
I have been hearing about this restaurant from my Chinese friends for a while, so on a early Sunday morning we made a trip to Flushing from New Jersey, it was not difficult to find this place when you have a GPS handy. Reached there around 9:30 AM and it was already packed. We had to wait outside for 25 minutes to get a table. There were at least 10-15 people also waiting outside. 99% people are local Chinese customer.
Unlike other dim sum places they do not go table to table with their cart / trolly rather you need to order from the menu. We sat down and had not time to waste as we know what to order so our food came in no time. We ordered Turnip Puff, Fried Pancake with Chives & Eggs, Steamed Crab mean Dim Sum, Steamed Vegetable Dumplings, Shanghai Shao Mai etc. Food was excellent and enjoyed every item. Took few pictures as well.
I would definitely go back there, and if you are in or around NYC recommend you to stop by. Unlike NYC china town here I did not have any issue finding a parking so had peace in mind that don’t have to run to the meter every half an hour or so. By the way I actually don't even know what Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao mean.
