Nama Sushi & Noodles Bergen Reviews
Good Japanese food Jul 21, 2011
Nama is a noodle and sushi restaurant, which is located just one block from the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bryggen, in the heart of Bergen. They opened in 2001 and are proud to be the first sushi restaurant in Bergen.
The interior is minimalist style with furniture in light wood and steel, and with a warm casual atmosphere. I have eaten there many times. The food has always been good and the service has gotten better and better. The kitchen is open so you can watch the chefs preparing the sushi. What an art!
Not everybody likes sushi, but this is not a problem at Nama. They also serve various noodle dishes, as well as meat and fish. The sushi and noodles are average priced, but the meat and fish is a little more expensive. Usually I eat sushi, but have also tried the Yakitori (wok fried noodles with chicken) and the Yakikaisen (wok fried noodles with fish, shellfish and vegetables in a spicy sauce). It has all been very good.
I can highly recommend Nama Sushi & Noddles for its good food and lovely atmosphere. The place is popular, so make a reservation if you´d like to eat there during the weekend. They also do take away!
Opening hours: Monday – Saturday 3 pm – midnight, Sunday 2 pm – 11pm
