Lake Nakuru was our first Game Drive of the trip. A small National Park in the Nakuru area, it wasn't anything like the Masai Mara or Serengeti are made out to be - more like a giant Woburn Safari Park. At some points it seemed a little "touristic" (i.e. "we are now heading towards the Baboons"). In...

Staying in Ruhegeri during a chuch election means a lot of drums playing all the time. But going out for the gorilla hike makes it unik. Then falling asleep New Years Eve in a African nightclub just ads a little twist to the whole day.

So, Tommer and I have been safariing for a few days in the @world famous@ Maasai Mara. It's pretty cool.We spent the morning hanging out with lions (I think we took about a 150 pictures - apparently catching the photographic essence of sleeping lions takes a lot of work), which despite my general dislike of animals was awesome.Flamingos and Rhinos tomorrow, then off to the coast.(I'd love to be writing longer entries, and I promise I will as soon as I can - I have much rambling to do.)
