The City of Naga or "Ciudad nin Naga" in the Bikol language is located in the southern part of Luzon in the Philippines and is technically a part of the Bicol Region.

The word Naga came from conquistador Juan de Salcedo in 1573, he named it such after seeing the village abundant with Narra trees.
The city celebrates the Feast of Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia, Our Lady of Peñafrancia, the Patroness of Bicol Region, starting second Friday of September each year. This is the major if not one of the major fiestas in the Bicol Region, and people from all over the province and in Manila visit the holy and colorful event annually.
