Nafplio Vacation Guide
Nafplio is a small city with about 15,000 inhabitants in the region of Peloponnesos. It's not a well know city to foreigners but is was once the capital of Greece and is, nowadays, an important harbour for Greece.
A fantastic side trip for those travelers in Athens (about 1 hour's drive), this is a beautiful sea-side town with breathtaking views of ancient history as well as middle-aged, cobblestoned, narrow streets. The most notable sights of Nafplio are the Bourzi island, the Palamidi and the Platia Syntagmatos. Not far from Nafplio are the famous places Mycene and Epidavros.
