NY Pizza Exchange - Vinings Atlanta Reviews
Mar 20, 2007
Located in the trendy hamlet of "Vinings" in Northwest Atlanta just beyond the Chattahooche River, NY Pizza Exchange offers an opportunity to dine on a fairly decent pizza while trains from CSX speed past on the main north line into and out of Atlanta about twenty feet away.
While certainly not NY Style Pizza, the ingredients have always been fresh and liberal (meaning "in large quantity", not politically speaking). You can order by the slice or order a whole pizza. Dining is either inside or outside on the large patio. A word of caution to those that choose to sit outside, the trains going by really close outside are loud as hell. You'll probably want to cover your ears while the trains are immediately passing by.
Service is average for a pizza place. It reminds me of one of those places where the 'gang' always hangs out after work or school - like Central Perk on the TV show 'Friends'. I have, on occasion, seen the owner of the place berating employees in clear view of customers. How humiliating. Probably explains the "HELP WANTED" sign that always seems to be posted in the window near the front door.
The location is in VININGS (another geographic reference in Atlanta like "Buckhead", "VA-Highlands" and the like) but is actually considered either Atlanta or Smyrna.
