We decided to drive to Mycenea. We got lost on the way. It is so weird to be lost and  not  even be able to read the signs to find yourself.  We drove and drove then we came to a spot in the road where the water was over the road about 2 feet deep... that was it ....We turned around and headed back the way we came...  We finally realized we started out the wrong exit from town & retraced our steps to the middle of  town to start out again....

It's an archaeological site in Greece,90km southwest far from Athens.In the 2nd millennium b.C. was the main centre of greek civilization and culture.In fact the period from 1600 to 1100 b.C is called Mycenean age.Mycenae now is also an Unesco world heritage site(and you can understand easily why!) One week trip to Greece with my school mates! Something I'll never forget.

i've finally managed to escape the oh-so-fascinating world of hedge fund finance, and am now decadently indulging my long-suppressed wanderlust with 15 months on the road and around the world... *note: apart from the odd review (generally of something not found in your standard guide book), this is really more just a map of my travels than a proper blog, but if you want more information on anywhere i`ve been or what i`ve been up to, send me a message and i`ll see if i can rustle something up.

A visit to the ancient site of Mycenae.   I’m really feeling sick now with a head cold and rest a couple of days eating oranges that I pinched from a local orchard. 

A short three-week trip to Athens, Argolid, Delphi, Mani, and Aigina. The Athens-Argolid-Delphi portion was as a teacher of a Study Travel group. Christmas Day alone in Athens!
