My favorite spots. - San Francisco - TravBuddy

These guys all have good ideas. My personal favorites and where I take people is for sure the new Ferry Building because it is gorgeous and has a great view of the bay. If it is a weekend, they have a fun farmers markets and all kinds of arts and crafts for sale. From there I like to go to the Hyatt and ride the elevator to the top and see the view.

Also, my favorite neighborhood is North Beach (the Italian district). It is super charming and has a neat church and the best restaurants and cafes. If you like outdoor dining, that is the place to do it. There is also Washington Square Park which is fun to hang out in and people watch an most weekends it has an outdoor art dislay. If you want to go up the hill there is Coit Tower which is a pretty neat monument.

If you have some time, Union Square is another great place to people watch and grab an espresso and do some shopping. If you need to do major shopping, there's the MAJOR new mall, Westfield which is worth a mention.
