My Two Cents Los Angeles Reviews
Best Comfort Food in Southern California Dec 20, 2015
One of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles by far. Chef Alisa is a culinary genius with an excellent staff on her hands. It is hands down the best Southern style home cooking that I've had the pleasure of experiencing. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like you're at home. Kudos!
The restaurant needs to be visited at least twice: once during brunch and once during dinner time. The reason why I say this is because the place opens at two different times: 12pm - 4:30pm and 6pm - 9pm. Inexpensive food, but amazing quality and attention to detail/presentation. Very difficult to find places like this around Los Angeles anymore.
Brunch is usually the busiest time of the day here, so save yourself the time looking at the menu and order the shrimp & cheese grits. It's at the very top of the menu coming in, so you can't miss it. Next, you have to get the Fried Chicken or BBQ Fried Chicken salad. Deliciousness!
Dinner is different because they offer a prix fixe menu with various assortments. Pork chops, fried chicken, or steak... you make the choice! Order some fried grits and some appetizers and enjoy the dining experience of a lifetime. To help liven up the palette, bring more people! That means you get to try more dishes and see what you like here.
The two desserts that I would personally recommend would be the peach cobbler and the chocolate bread pudding. Mmm... those are my favorite.
Do yourself a favor... take your date, your family members and loved ones, and come out to My Two Cents for a wonderful treat and experience you'll never forget.
