They used to sell silk from Bursa here Jul 31, 2017
The Bursa Bezistan is located in the core of the Sarajevo Old Town. It is one of the Sarajevo Museum where is showed a permanent exhibitions of the archaeological material from prehistory, the Middle Ages and fleur-de-lis in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the most expensive equipment of an Ottoman warrior from the Ottoman period and the Austro-Hungarian period.

Built in 1551 by Rustem Pasha, Grand Vizier of Suleyman the Magnificent, it was a shopping center of the Ottoman period where was sold the Rustem Pasha's silk produced in Bursa.

The Bezistan was ruined during the last siege of Sarajevo and repaired. It is an important part of the cultural heritage.

... city museum of Sarajevo ... Jul 16, 2010
Sarajevo Museum / Muzej Sarajeva is located at Bursa bezistan, very close to Clock Tower and Gazi Husrev Bey Mosque in the heart of Bascarsija.

In the museum, you can see the historical development of Sarajevo from the ancient ages to modern days. In other words, you can clearly see and experience the transition of cultures in Sarajevo throughout history.

Admission for tourists is not free, however so cheap. A ticket fee was 2 KM (like 1 EU) and you can see the museum in 1 hour, if you're not stuck in every detail.

Basically, if you like city museums, this is the place you need to visit in Sarajevo.

PS: I cannot provide more photos since taking pictures is prohibited. These are the only ones I was able to take =)
... a model of the historical Sara…
... another view of the city model…
... the ottoman weapons ...
