Must-bring Items - Yunnan - TravBuddy

As with all other places in China, public toilets are usually the squat kind. That does take some getting used to if you're new to China and a female. But that's not my point. The point is, soap is rarely found in public toilets, and so is toilet paper. Do bring your own T.P. and hand sanitizer! Also, travelling in Yunnan, esp. in the summer time or whenever the sun is out, means putting yourself at risk for sunburn...BRING SUNSCREEN! Up in the highlands, you're very very likely to get burnt! UV rays are 4 times as intense than in the lowlands. I travelled around Yunnan in the last week of October this year and found that the weather was super cold and SUPER dry. So handcream and facial moisturizer are ESSENTIALS. You're gonna cry if you don't bring any. I cried.
