Plentitude of Xi'an Food Snacks at one Go ! Dec 26, 2008
I believe any tourist who have been to Xi'an will never miss this famous Muslim Food street, where one can find the food snacks you are craving for.
Not to mention that Xi'an is long famous for its delightful array of food snacks which has its history as early as 1000 years ago! In fact all my dinner treats were at Muslim streets, as i just like returning to try different kind of food there. Even its mutton sticks, barbecued stuffs are so different from other parts of China I've tried. Some of the very famous food that you shoud try is Yang Ruo Pao Mo - The famous stall is Lao Shun Jia located in there Ruo Jia Mo - Meat Stuffed in Wheat Buns Hamburger - Unique assorted-style of food jumbled up to replace the meat Parsimmon Pie/Cake Dumplings in Spicy Sour Soup (Suan Tang Jiao) And a whole lot of other food, cakes and desserts! Not to mention, it is cheap since the stalls are mostly catered to the locals. Do not expect posh restaurants there, but some plain, clean stretch of stalls with benches. Oh,do expect a lot of mutton and beef. Definitely no pork here. What about your fascination here? =) Part of the My Winter Silkroad Odyssey travel blog |
