Hostel with basic facilities in bad area of Bogota Jun 22, 2011
We arrived at this hostel, 3 girls, and were greeted at the door by a man with a huge stick and 2 buzzered doors to get in. The hostel is in a bad part of Bogota and we felt really unsafe especially after hearing someone had been mugged walking back to the Hostel from the nearest shop. Amenities were very basic and the doors/windows didnt even shut properly. We stayed the first night and then checked out into a hotel the next night. If you stay in Bogota choose somewhere in a better area, near to Zona Rosa

Amazing hostel! Full of friendly people and staff who can't do enough to help. From the second you walk into the garden it feels like an oasis. The beds are comfortyable, the showers are hot, the breakfast is on until 11am and is the usual west coast Andean breakfast of bread and fruit. It's centrall located on Calle 9 in the Candelaria, minutes from everything and they have contacts for slasa lessons, spanish classes or anything else you might want to do in the city.

Clean, friendly and a wonderful place to stay
