Birthday Fun Jul 12, 2009
My cousin and I went to the MOS in Boston for my birthday, and as usual we always have fun. This place is not just for kids, so no one should feel creped out walking around with no children. Some exhibits never change others do so visit the website to see what’s there. On this visit they had an exhibit on frogs, which I loved! The staff is friendly, and will gladly help you navigate through the museum. Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop! They always have something interesting in there to touch or buy, including models and space ice cream. Some other things to check out are the Hayden Planetarium, and the Mugar Omni Theater. The Planetarium does laser light shows to music which is a good time.

Wildly entertaining and enlightening...Fun for the whole family! Nov 26, 2008
The Museum of Science is one of my favorites places to visit in Boston. Not only is it thoroughly informative, it is also tremendously entertaining.
There are so many exhibits, many being interactive, never mind loads of fun! Be aware that there is a general admission fee and then some special limited time exhibits are an additional fee to see. But they are always worth it. The exhibits are too numerous to name so I suggest visiting the website at www.mos.org for a complete list, but a few that come to mind include an exhibit all about the human body, many different animals, dinosaurs. Then there are many exhibits dedicated to the world around us, technology, weather, planets, etc.. Every exhibit is extremely interesting and most encourage interaction. Aside from exhibits there is also a Planetarium, a Laser Light show, simulator exhibits, live exhibits, and my favorite, the IMAX Omni Theater. The Omni offers about five different shows at any one time each lasting for a limited time and then a new collection of shows are released. If you are not familiar with the Omni Theater, it is a huge, five-story tall domed screen on which the world's largest film format is projected. The image fills your whole line of sight making you feel like you are right in the middle of it. That coupled with the state of the art sound system makes for an absolutely thrilling movie experience. If you have the chance to visit Boston, spend a day at the exciting Museum of Science! |

We are home from our latest week + trip to Boston. I was depressed about that but I decided that if I lived in Boston I would grow bored of it. Or not neccessarily bored, but, when I'm on vacation, I try and do as much I can in a very small amount o…science museum. We've been there three other times before, we get into that one free too, and there was nothing new there either. Anyway, it was okay. At the same time, I don't why I insist on going to science museums when they… June 2006 |

Monday we did some thrifting in Cambridge. There is literally no decent thrifting happening in the city of Boston as far as I have ever been able to discover. It was like a million degrees outside on this day. Nevertheless we found ourselves walking…science museum I found a City Pass laying on the ground. So, I had a free admission ticket to the Natural History Museum. First, we got lost. I ended up asking an old man who was eating potato chips on a park bench where this… Back in Boston, June 2006 |
