Learning experience for Glass art lovers Feb 01, 2008
The Museum of Glass is located in Tacoma, Washington. Making artwork with glass in glass blowing studio is definitely a learning experience for visitors. Excitement for glass art lovers begins from the entrance ceiling. Wonderful mix of color glass is used to cover the pathway.

Once you enter after buying the ticket for 10USD into the glass blowing studio you can see making of glass pices for the art work live. This studio has a giant screen to watch the same when an instructors explains the process to audience.

This museum has permanent collections to showcase exemplary works of art created during the 20th and 21st centuries by artists from around the world. Also this place has a souvenir shop to buy the art work of famous glass artists.

The Museum of Glass in Tacoma is centred around world-famous glass artist Dale Chihuly. The complex consists of a bridge from the University of Washington full of glass sculptures (free to visit), the museum gallery with glass work by numerous international artists ($10 adults), and the glass blowing studio. The studio is very interesting, you can watch the glass-work interns as they make up their pieces, or pieces of major sculptures by Dale Chihuly, using a minimum of safety equipment and a vast quantity of molten glass. The experience is interesting to anyone, and a delight to those who are interested in glass work.
