Art at its heart Dec 01, 2012
Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) is located on Huntington Avenue in Boston and is easily accessible by road and T (subway train).

If you are a connoisseur of art, you should definitely visit MFA.

It has a vast collection of artifacts, photographs, paintings, jewelry, musical instruments, etc from places around the globe. Dedicated galleries are in place that segregate these with respect to their place of origin on ground plus three levels in the MFA building, example : Art of Europe, Art of the Americas, etc. Among these, Art of the Ancient World is my favorite.

During my stay in Boston, I visited MFA two times and found it to be enchanting. You can easily spend a day here and it is totally worth it.

Nearby places that you should visit are Northeastern University, Fenway Park and if you can go a bit further on Hungtington Avenue you will reach Prudential Tower. It is good to buy a 1 day subway pass (weekly pass also available) as most of these places are located on the same line (Green-E) on adjacent stops, so you won't have to walk much.

MFA is open 7 days a week (Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun - 10 am–4:45 pm and Wed, Thur, Fri - 10 am–9:45 pm). Fees: $25 for adults and free for kids under 6. Car parking is available, but subway is recommended. Four dining venues are located within the MFA building. Flash photography, tripods and video cameras in the galleries are strictly prohibited.

For more details, please check out .. and for subway (T) route :

fantastic museum Mar 13, 2011
MFA of Boston is an interesting Museum that's definitely worth visiting. Great collections. What I love the most is the films, especially foreign films. And on Thursdays after 5PM it is FREE to get into the museum.
