Natural History Museum Berlin Jan 04, 2010
We decided to stop in the Natural History Museum in Berlin since we had some time to kill before we headed to the train station. I was so excited because any museum with a dinosaur exihibit is a must see for me! It is the largest museum of natural history in Germany, and was established in 1810. Its collections contain objects from three major fields, paleontology, mineralogy, and zoology. Some of the cool dinosaurs you can see are the giant Brachiosaurus and an Archaeopteryx. There was also a great Ocean exhibit while we were there. So many animal specimens that they have preserved for many more generations to see. Also you will see many magnificent minerals. The Berlin Natural History has a mineral collection representing 75% of the minerals in the world and some meteroites.
