Excellent museum showcasing whats great about the NT Aug 26, 2013
The museum is located on the shores of Darwin Harbour about 4 kms from the city and showcases whats great about the NT. From nature exhibits showing birds, lizards, snakes and the amazing crocodile 'Sweetheart' to Indigenous Art, a permanent display remembering Cyclone Tracy that all but destroyed Darwin in 1974, , maritime history plus periodic exhibitions, this museum is compact and a must see for Darwin. The museum hosts the annual Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Indigenous Arts Awards. The museum features a discovery centre and on the site is also the Cornucopia Restaurant serving food from 9-5pm. A must see for Darwin
