Contemporary art in the middle of the industrial area Apr 18, 2008
This museum of contemporary art brought to public by Wurth company (mainly known in our part of Eastern hemisphere thanks to its wrenches and screwdrivers) in January 2008, is definitely worth a visit for those art lovers passing by Strasbourg. It is situated in a pretty inexpected place for such type of cultural venue - surrounded by office buildings, warehouses and its own small park, within 20 min drive from the city of Strasbourg. The collection is the perfect combination of modern & contemporary paintings and sculptures: Magritte, Picasso, Vasarely, Kupka in the vicinity of Alsatian and German artists of '70-80s - and this is only the inaugurating exhibition! Museum Wurth can be an exciting stopover for those driving across scenic Alsace plains and wineyards.
