Jakarta Old City, there are several museums including a museum called the Museum Wayang. The museum is located one Fatahillah area with museums, the Museum of Bank Indonesia, Bank Mandiri Museum and the Museum of Ceramics.

According to the history of Indonesia, the building looks unique has undergone renovation several times. This building was originally named De Oude Hollandsche Kerk ("Old Dutch Church") and was first built in 1640. In 1732 repaired and renamed De Nieuwe Hollandse Kerk (New Church of the Netherlands) in 1808 due to destroyed by an earthquake in the same year. And the ruins of the building is constructed puppet museum which was inaugurated as a museum on August 13, 1975.

Entering the puppet museum we will welcome a pair of "Ondel-Ondel" the unique art Betawi. Well this time I will tell you about the Wayang Museum which exhibits various types and forms of both puppets made of wood and leather and other materials from all over Indonesia. puppets originated from Javanese, Sundanese, Bali, Lombok, Sumatera and also from abroad such as Malaysia, Suriname, Kelantan, France, Cambodia, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Britain, America and Thailand ..

Puppet Collection at the Museum consists of several devices Puppet, Marionette Puppet, a variety of masks, puppets glass, zinc puppets, paintings and dolls from abroad. Some rare collection of the archipelago include Puppet Intan, Suket Wayang, Wayang Wayang Beber and Revolution ... So welcome to Jakarta and enjoy it 
