The horrors, you'll need a strong stumach for this museum! Jan 03, 2011
Entrance is free! This might be the only museum in all of the Netherlands that's free of charge. But, this museum is used by anatomists, nurses in training, doctors in training and churgens. Because this museum is all about the human body. Have you seen Bodies, or Cörper Welten? Did you keep your lunch inside? Well, in that case... this is the next level!

This museum is a showcase of 19th century anatomical studies, so you'll find still born babies in jars filled with alchohol. Skulls from people with creepy diseases, one skeleton of a young boy who never got out of home... because of a lack of vitamin D his bones wouldn't grow properly. Other bodies are of siamese twins, or a little mermaid. Some babies with two bodies and only one head, or one eye.

The museum is poorly light, so that adds to the creepy atmosphere.

All people who are shown died of natural causes, they where donated by their families because they needed the money. Only one man (only adult in a jar) was killed... as in capital punishment. He wasn't claimed by family.
