Nice museum Aug 12, 2015
I was really looking forward to visiting this museum as I really enjoy modern and contemporary art. So, I don't know, I suppose I liked the museum well enough, but unfortunately, I wasn't blown away by the different exhibitions. I didn't like the temporary exhibition of Kamil Lhotak as much as the permanent collection. But, at the end of the day, I'm glad I visited the museum though because I learnt about artists that I didn't know before.

While visiting don't lose your ticket because you have to show it on every floor to one of the attendants, which I found polite and nice.

There is also a nice rooftop terrace as well as a tower that you can walk up to get nice views of Prague.

wonderful small contemporary art museum Oct 15, 2008
I stumbled into this museum tired and weary, having spent the night on an overnight bus from Brussels and not being able to check into my hostel until the afternoon. I got a warm welcome, apparantly they don't see that many visitors.

I thoroughly enjoyed this museum. One wing is dedicated to a number of local modern artists, another has temporary exhibits. Don't ask me what I saw exactly, as I said I was pretty tired, but a lot of it was quite good. I had been afraid I was too tired to enjoy a museum, but this one was the perfect pick, I could just enjoy the beauty of it all without having to think about anything too much. It was not stuffy at all.

I highly recommend this place. It seems to be largely overlooked by the crowds, which is good because you can enjoy it quietly, but they do deserve more visitors.
