Museum Embankment Frankfurt am Main Reviews
Frankfurt's Riverside Museums Jul 31, 2011
Something culture related now :-)
The riverside of the "Main" is actually a must-see itself, cause especially on sunny days its full of people enjoying the citylife and it provides a good view on the skyline, dome, etc. You get drinks at some spots and can just look for a good place to take a break and relax!
Even more interesting are those 13 Museums, almost in a row. You'll find the following ones there:
*> Museum of Applied Arts
*> Icon Museum
*> Ethnological Museum
*> German Film Museum
*> Communication Museum
*> Museum Giersch
*> Jewish Museum
*> Frankfurt's History Museum
The Staedel is one of the most famous Museums in Germany and definately worth a visit.
The admission fee's depend but are acceptable overall. If you plan to visit multiple museums, you should think about the Museum Embankment Ticket.
There are also some special events every year such as "Night of Museums" or "Museum Embankment Festival" where you can buy one cheap ticket and visit all the museums with it. Thats always a lot of fun (especially the one at the night). The Embankment Festival is very big with over 3 million people in 3 days and with lots of street vendors and a big firework on the last day!
Those are a lot, but surely not all museums in Frankfurt. Also interesting might be:
*> Goethe Haus (The house where famous Goethe lived!)
*> Dome Museum
*> Dialogmuseum (everything in the dark, you wont see anything!)
*> Eintracht Frankfurt Museum (at the Stadium)
So please dont miss them when you visit Frankfurt!!!
