Museum Adityawarman Padang Reviews
Museum Adityawarman padang Aug 19, 2011
The only reason we visited this museum is due to it was in the middle of the town and it has the typical Rumah Gadang roof with horn shape of roof. It was very cheap entrance fee, only 3000 rupiah.
It has a big garden in the front which was lack of maintenance and it has an old airplane as the attraction. I was sad looking at the place, cause definitely the government could do better with the museum. The garden could be a nice place to hang out for people in padang while educate the kids in the same time to love their culture by visiting the museum.
Inside the museum was not much interesting. It displaying many types of local clothes from West Sumatra and also trying to explain the family relation of minangkabau people. At the back side of the museum it has some display of pictures of Mentawai island and ancient west sumatra.
It was huge museum but like many other museums in indonesia it was lack of maintenance and less attractive.

Other than the cultural and historical museum Museum Adityawarman…
