Brief history of Guadalajara Apr 10, 2011
This was the first museum I visited on my Sunday itinerary. This museum is quite small, and doesn't have a lot of pieces in exhibition. It provides a quick review of some of the main historical events of the city of Guadalajara, but I don't think the events are very chronologically correct. The foundation of the city and important historical periods like the Cristiada are largely ignored. This is especially sad, as Jalisco was a big stand for the mexican holy war.

What I liked the most was the mexican cinema "Golden Age" picture exhibition and the picture exhibition of the mexican revolution. I love picts from that period.

Overall, I think this museum is not essential in your visit to Guadalajara.
