Museo de la Ciudad de León Leon Reviews
Very small museum Oct 18, 2011
I was looking for an interesting museum in Leon downtown, and I saw in one of the city maps located in the streets that there was one quite close from where I was walking.
I had skipped the sacred art museum because I really wasn't in the mood for paintings. So, I thought this one would be a history museum, but it ended up being another art museum.
They had a couple of painter's exposition this time. Entry was ridiculously cheap (2 pesos, like 15 US cents), and the exposition was ok, some of the paintings were interesting.
They have a separate building round the corner that you can also see with the same ticket. This one featured some furniture from the 1800's and also a few paintings from private collections. Nothing I hadn't seen before.
This museum is definitively not essential, you could skip it and not miss much.
