Museo Regional de Guadalajara is located in downtown of Guadalajara, Mexico. An Interesting museum and have 3 Eras of History. This museum entry fee is free for visitors and cameras on Sunday. Otheer week days we have to pay around 6USD.

This building has 2 floors. Ground floor is having pre colombian specimens. This floor has some nice collection of animal specimens.. Mammothe skeleton is highlight here.

Very good option to know a bit of the history of Jalisco Nov 13, 2010
Today was a very sunny and beautiful Saturday morning, so I decided to visit the Regional Museum. You have to pay a fee to take pictures, but it's free on Sundays. The museum holds a very interesting collection on various topics, like natural history, pre-columbian history of the area, colonial and independent Mexican history, and an exquisite religious art collection from local painters. Please check the provided website to see a few pictures of the place.

I think this is a very good option to get an idea of the different people and cultures that have inhabited the state of Jalisco, and to understand its rich history. There are sometimes also cultural events, including live music concerts and small conferences on different topics.

Yes, and I am not sure why! I was totally shocked when I was at the Louvre and you could take pictures of everything!

I think that in Mexico the museum people might think that if someone else sees the pictures they won't go see the exhibition, so it may be a way of charging you the ticket of that person who didn't get to go. Weird and not fun!

Mexican museums seem especially sensitive to photos. Often you can't take photos or you have to pay extra.
