Museo Regional La Huatapera Uruapan Reviews
Interesting trip to indigenous cultures of the region Aug 31, 2011
La Huatápera Museum in Uruapan is a small museum dedicated to the four indigenous cultures of the state of Michoacán: purépecha, otomí, mazahua and nahua. It features a interesting collection of mostly new items from all these cultures.
If you visit this museum you can get an idea of the different traditions and artistic techniques of all these cultures. Some of the pottery work was definitively very impressive.
It is free, so you definitively lose nothing by going to this place. Recommended if you are already in Uruapan.
