Although I told you the museum is free to visit, you are already inside the National Park of Cotopaxi. So you already paid US$10 to entre the National Park. This little museum is inside the park.

We went there inside with our guide and he showed us around. The was information about the animals living inside the National Park. It's very rare to see them in real, but they had samples of them in the information centre. The Andean condor, the Andean fox and white-tailed deer were some of them. The only animal I really saw inside the park were the wild horses. Which is something very nice as well, because I see horses quite often, but never saw them in wild.

Furthermore they had some information about the Volcán Cotopaxi. About how it looks like and how the volcano works. A map of the entire area of the National Park is also shown, even with a line of volcano's you can find in Ecuador. From North to South there's like one line through the Andes with all high volcano peaks.

There was not that much information in the Information centre. But what they had was interesting to know about the volcano and its huge National Park.
