Cuba has a long political history. A history most of us really don't understand much of. The relationship between Cuba and the US is complicated, and visiting the museum you might get a better understanding of the whole thing. Here you'll get the entire history.. well, not all of it. It's seen from the cuban perspective, so it's not that easy to understand it all, not seing it from both sides.
You need at least 2-3 hours to get through it all, and after reading posters and looking at props from the revolution, I'm not really sure if I understand more now than I did before I got in. Anyways.. it's interesting, and you'll probably learn more than you think you do. My opinion is that you can't visit Havana without visiting this museum, since it's such a big part of cuban history, and how Cuba is today. |

Today we went to the Havana Club rum museum and yesterday we went to the Museo de la Revolucion, which was boiling but interesting, and otherwise we've just been wandering around the old town - the touristy areas are such a contrast to the rest of the city - everything is so run down and in such… Ola from Havana! |

I then went to visit the Museo de la Revolucion by myself which after the bus ride and the museum visit the previous day was a bit too much for much. Today, we did the Museo Nacional De Bellas Artes (Musuem of Modern Art) and the Museo de la Revolucion (Museum of the Revolution). Both fascinating and well worth it. Took a quick shot of us infront of the actual tank that Fidel rode through on...you know the famous photos of Fidel standing in a tank through the Bay of Pigs… Arriving in Cuba.... |

Jetzt werden wir uns gleich mal im Museo de la Revolucion ueber die Geschichte von Kuba informieren, und uns morgen im Gran Teatro de Habana eine Auffuehrung ansehen. Montag fahren wir dann in den Westen nach Vinales, wo es Tobaccoplantagen und schoene Natur gibt. Erwartet nicht zu viele News, denn Internetplaetze sind… Viva Cuba |
