Museo Automovilistico Malaga Reviews
The eternal parking lot Feb 16, 2014
In Spanish cities, cars are rather an obstacle than a means of transportation, due to the shortage of parking lots. Thus it makes sense to enclose the biggest and most useless cars into a museum. Museo Automovilistico is located in a former garrison, which is some kilometres away from city centre. Of course, buses are available and the bus driver tries to drop you near the right place. Entrance fee is quite high (8 EUR, I believe), but I wanted to visit it.
The oldest displayed vintage cars was build around 1899. During the 1920s, cars became bigger and bigger. During the 1960s, they got more and more horsepowers. In order to overcome this ecological bias, this museums also displays a few electric vehicles.
Many vehicles are equipped with dummies who are dressed with contemporary fashion. Useless cars with useless fashion.
Nowadays, all these vintage cars are parked in their eternal parking lot, being replaced with more economical cars.
