If you are interested in printing or in a cool shaded courtyard! Jun 10, 2009
As Lyon was in the 15th and 16th centuries one of Europe most important printing center, this museum is with those of Mainz and Antwerp one of the leading museums of printing history and history of the books in Europe.Found in 1964 it is located in a 15th century building called Hotel de la Couronne. This Renaissance architecture was home to the town hall until the 17th century.

The Musée de l'Imprimerie exhibits the history of printing, its techniques and machineries, early books, very rare incunables and woodcubes used to illustrate the early bibles.

Classes and workshops are offered.

As Lyon was in the 16th century one of the greatest trading and banking center in Europe, the Musée de la Banque tells the history of Lyon banking.

Fees:3,80 euro(2,00 for students and groups)
